What is Thermography?
Thermography is a printing process that uses heat and plastic dust to produce a raised ink finish. Thermographic printing is monochrome (one colour) so if you’re looking for a sophisticated invitation but with multiple colours, then you may want to check out our classic wedding invitation page.

What’s the Difference Between Thermography and Engraving?
Thermography has a similar look to engraving for about half the price. However, the main difference between engraving and thermography is that the thermographic printing process produces an uneven thickness of ink (which is noticeable, when the two are compared to each other). With that said, Thermography is much less expensive than Engraving, and someone who doesn’t have a knowledge of printing, won’t likely know the difference (unless the two are compared side to side).

I am not joking when I tell you that I spent all of last week looking at wedding invitations. Cheap invitations are hard to come by!

However, I did find some awesome invitations that are less than $1 each and still have beautiful design.

Now these inexpensive wedding invitations don’t use 100% recycled paper (although you can upgrade for a reasonable fee), but they’re perfect if your on a tight budget.

Just a note that you may have to do a bit more work wording these cheap wedding invitations and the only proof option that you have is a digital proof. Many other companies that sell invitations, will send you free paper proofs (like Wedding Paper Divas, who will send you 5 FREE samples or Minted, who will send you 3 FREE samples).

This is definitely a disadvantage to buying affordable wedding invitations, as sometimes colors can look diferent on paper than they do on screen, however, if you aren’t super picky, then you’ll love these budget wedding invitations.
